Boeing/USC’s SMS Training Program with IAA from March 30, – April 2, 2021

Program Description

The Safety Management Systems (SMS) Training Program delivered by Faculty from University of Southern California this time is in a virtual mode and training experience highlighting basic SMS concepts and exploration of SMS elements. SMS is a proactive management system which provides the capability to expand levels of operational safety beyond minimum regulatory requirements. SMS is a core business enterprise and is required by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Upon completing the program, participants will be able to manage a Safety Management System that includes risk management, audits, data collection, analysis, and incident investigations. In addition to that, participants will be able to explain the theory, principles, and application of SMS and understand ICAO requirements for implementation. The program has many elements of global cases and best practices and is also fine tuned for India with the help of IAA and inputs from DGCA/AAIB etc. On successful completion of the training program participants will be awarded a certificate from USC.
